And so it begins...

I am starting this blog as a project for an online class. I hope that it becomes a useful way to communicate and share information. Since I am the ONLY music educator in our system I don't always have the luxury of talking/venting with other band directors about the many things I encounter in a day. I am looking forward to using this new tool to connect with others that experience the same things that I do.  I also hope to share some stories of not only being an educator but also being a husband and father.

    I love your byline!!1 It really made me laugh! You could also use your blog to post tips, etc. and even poll your students on their favorite songs, etc. Just some ideas!

    Thanks! I hope to add some of the ideas you mentioned. I have added polls and surveys on our Angel network and it worked out really well. I think I can definitely use this blog as a teaching tool!

    Jamie- I think this blog would be great to use during your music appreciation classes at the middle and high school. You could use it for students to post about genres, musicians, or musical compositions. Blogs are great now that you're in a system that uses Macbooks in every class!
